Privacy policy (Japan eSIM Store app)
Last updated: September 24, 2026
1. No account is required
You do not need to create an account to use this app. You add a line by scanning your eSIM QR code or entering its activation code.
The device stores only a token that lets the app look that line up. The activation code itself is stored neither on your device nor on our servers.
2. Device ID and app usage
When you first open the app, it creates a random ID for this device (the device ID) and stores it on the device. We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA or Advertising ID) or your device's serial number. Deleting the app also deletes the device ID from your device.
When the app opens and whenever it talks to our servers, it sends the device ID together with: the app version, your OS and its version, the display language, the days you opened the app and how often, how many lines you have added, whether notifications are on, which in-app announcements (campaigns) were shown and tapped, and the main things you do in the app and when (viewing plans, getting a quote, opening the top-up screen, starting a purchase or top-up, opening the points screen, and so on).
We also record the country estimated from the IP address the app connects from (for example, Japan) and the type of network (mobile or home internet, or a data center). We do not store the IP address itself, and we do not collect your device's location (such as GPS).
We store the device ID together with the lines added on that device and the purchases and top-ups made in the app. This means we treat this information as linked to your lines and orders.
3. How we use it
• To show announcements and coupons in the app that fit your lines, such as remaining data or expiry
• To measure how the app is used (number of users, repeat use, how campaigns perform) and improve the app and our service
• To look into your usage when you contact us for support
We never sell this information. We do not use it to track you across other companies' apps or websites, or for other companies' advertising.
4. Other information we send to our servers
Only if you turn on data and expiry alerts do we send your device's push token and an internal key identifying the line you want alerts for.
An email address is used only when you enter one as the recipient for a top-up receipt. Points you earn from top-ups are kept under that email address.
5. What we do not collect
We do not collect your name, phone number, device location (such as GPS), contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers (IDFA or Advertising ID).
6. Payments
Top-up payments are handled on checkout pages operated by Stripe and KOMOJU.
Card numbers are never stored by this app or on our servers.
7. Turning alerts off
You can turn alerts off at any time under Settings in the app, or disable notifications for the app in your device settings.
Turning them off in the app deletes the subscription record from our servers.
8. Deleting your data
Removing a line from the app deletes the token on your device and the alert subscription for that line.
To have the device ID and usage data on our servers, or anything else, deleted, contact us at the address below. Transaction records we are required by law to keep, such as orders and receipts, cannot be deleted.
